Moon Healings / Full Moons

~ August 2021 ~

There is something in the Air... This is a special one again, it is a Seasonal Blue Moon, and also the second of two Aquarius full moons in a row! How is it a Blue Moon? It is the third of four full moons in a season, where a season usually just has three.

Because this is the second Aquarius moon it is a do-over of the previous full moon to some extent only with some "second chance" energies and new blue, more intense energies which may give you more drive and encouragement.

If you remember from my previous full moon message (see below, July 2021 full moon), I wrote about how each experience we have has roots in our past experiences, and our ancestors' experiences, our past lives, etc. With this being the second moon of its kind in a row, this emphasises this element of the moon. It is the same moon repeated but how will it differ, how are we different from a month ago, how different are our experiences and mindset to back then? And what magical energy can be drawn in from this moon time to help where we find ourselves right now?

Since the previous full moon we had the new moon at the Lionsgate portal time. Did you find you experienced a download from your guides and the cosmos during this time? I did! A buzz of energy and awful lot of understanding about a project I've been working on in my self-healing. And then more a couple of days later. In fact, if I fought the download, or wasn't understanding it correctly, I got a right old headache! So my guides were pretty pushy about this one. If you don't feel you learned anything new and inspiring in that time, maybe your guides weren't able to make their intentions clear. A key question in these Aquarius two moons is How are we Unique? The Lionsgate portal may have given you some additional insight into this. But if you feel lost for answers there could be more enlightenment coming with this full moon. If you feel you have half the answers you may see a clearer picture in the coming days / week.

If recent energies have led you to know your direction and the benefits of taking your path, this watery blue moon could be about taking the plunge. Is it time for a leap of faith for you? That needs some courage, some self-loving confidence and self-esteem. Bold yellow crystals like citrine, gold, yellow jade and also clear quartz will help you focus in on your goal.

If you are struggling more still to know your direction, and this doesn't need to be some life-changing goal or manifestation of your soul desires, you may just be feeling muddled or unsure, indecisive about things. If this is the place you are in, honour that, sometimes we need to be confused and unsure of things to understand where we need to be in life, with the big and the smaller things. If this is how you are feeling you could take a deeper dive in the waters of this moon with some dark green crystals like emerald and green jade.

To add to the watery energy of the Aquarius water bearer, this is also the Sturgeon moon, which is about the sturgeon fish that appeared at this time of year when the moon was named. Sturgeons are big old fish! They can be ten feet long! And they can live for over a hundred years! Now that would make for quite a wise, bold energy, and perseverance is a good wholesome energy around connected to this fantastic fish. These energies really connect with those carried over from the last full moon, energies that link across time, that persist, but also perseverance in finding our true selves and our true goals.

Previous Full Moons

~ July 2021 Full Moon ~

I saw the moon beautiful, golden and low the past couple of nights. And it got me thinking...

The more we go along in life, the more we accumulate experience and understanding about ourselves and life. We become "older and wiser". When situations come along we draw on this past data and listen to our intuition and guides. We create new experiences based on old. We even draw on ancient experience within our souls, and experience of our ancestors. There is a great cumulative knowledge and power we draw on.

In this way quite often life is not totally "new", there are trends, patterns and experiences that repeat in all sorts of interesting and new ways through time! It may seem new to us but is it new to our souls, to life itself?

Everyone is different in this world too, we may share a lot of similarities, but there is no absolutely complete duplicate, not even identical twins. Therefore our approach to everything is unique to us. Things can be the same but different.

So when we talk about the moon effects on us. We are latching onto these joint experiences and power and knowledge. But also working out how the moon will express itself through us uniquely. The moon is the same moon each month. We are the same people each month. But no month is the same! And we are all slightly changed each month. This is life. This is progress.

So here we are for the July 2021 full moon... and it's time to sprout some new antlers!!

This full moon in July is known as the Buck moon, or Thunder moon. There are some other names for this moon but I will focus on these two.

Did you know that young male deer, bucks, regularly grow and drop and regrow their antlers? Covered in a beautiful velvety fur. This time of regrowth is during July times. I have been seeing a lot of velvet energy in the past week as the moon has been growing, as a reminder to be gentle and soft.

The Buck moon seems to be about learning new skills to defend yourself with, but also based on the old, replacing the old outgrown. New but the same. Bigger and bolder, with new growth, new understanding, but with a soft furry outer layer that is oh so cute! It is time to grow, sprout, the beginnings of new strength and power, while remaining gentle and tender. And the deer is all about being gentle.

This full moon is also called the Thunder moon, because of the likelihood of thunderstorms. We had a cracking thunderstorm a couple of days ago! So with the likelihood of thunderstorms, perhaps be aware of dramatic events and sudden strange energies at work, out of nowhere. How quickly can a day change from heat and sunshine to torrential downpours and fresh winds of a thunderstorm! We all know what weird energies a thunderstorm brewing can bring too. If you sense these energies brewing, like a deer in the wild, just be aware and cautious and allow the energies to rise and pass without (if possible) getting caught up in the dramas and pressures.

This full moon is in Aquarius, giving this moon an energy around friendships, community, but these could be stressed around now. You may feel a need for freedom. But there is conflict in the stars blocking freedoms.

This could mean we need to be mindful of not using those bucking fresh new antlers in anger, to fight our way to freedom, independence, or our right to be unique. Perhaps hold off on any confrontation at this time as you may just hit more walls and expend energy unnecessarily. Deer gentleness may be a wiser move towards your goals.

So let's focus on the velvety cuteness and gentle tenderness of the young deers instead! Find some softness and lovingness in amongst all that's going on in the world.

Whatever you are working on in life, whatever situation it is you're in, know that it is part of a cycle, a process, a chance to learn, explore, grow, feel strength and to feel your soft velvety gentleness, it will help you be at one with your unique soul and at one with others in some way, across your lifetimes and across the human experience.

And something interesting extra to note, the August 2021 full moon is in Aquarius too!! What will this bring? Will the two moons feel the same to you? Or the same but different? Or totally unique, just like you! ?
